Heart of Dixie Railroad Museum

Paid a visit the Heart of Dixie Railroad Museum located less than 1 mile from I-65 at exit 228 in Calera, AL. It was a Saturday so while maybe technically open, being mid-January it was pretty quiet with only a few other visitors. The narrow gauge was not operating that day. Had the opportunity to walk around the grounds and see most everything, including a Northbound CSX train at the adjacent line on the West edge of the museum property. They have an extensive collection of passenger cars, unique diesel switchers, steam locomotives and a little of everything in varying condition.
